Inside an enclosed space

The book is in the bag.
किताब बैग में है।

She lives in Delhi.
वह दिल्ली में रहती है।

On a surface / touching

The book is on the table.
किताब मेज पर है।

The picture is on the wall.
तस्वीर दीवार पर है।

Specific point or location

I am at the bus stop.
मैं बस स्टॉप पर हूँ।

Meet me at the entrance.
मुझसे प्रवेश द्वार पर मिलो।

Higher than / covering

The fan is above my head.
पंखा मेरे सिर के ऊपर है।

The bridge is over the river.
पुल नदी के ऊपर है।

Lower than

The cat is under the table.
बिल्ली मेज के नीचे है।

The temperature is below zero.
तापमान शून्य से नीचे है।

In the space separating two things

I sit between Ram and Shyam.
मैं राम और श्याम के बीच बैठता हूँ।

In the middle of more than two things

She is among her friends.
वह अपने दोस्तों के बीच में है।

At the side of / near

Sit beside me.
मेरे बगल में बैठो।

At the back of

The garden is behind the house.
बगीचा घर के पीछे है।

Ahead of / before

A car is parked in front of the gate.
एक कार गेट के सामने खड़ी है।
